Student Wellbeing
Student Leadership
There are a variety of leadership opportunities for students in the Junior and Senior schools at Caroline Chisholm Catholic College, either at school or House level. We believe such roles enable students to gain valuable leadership experience, grow in confidence and become responsible citizens and positive role models for others.
Student Representative Council
All Homegroups vote for an SRC representative. These students attend leadership days and vote for an SRC executive. The executive includes the SRC President and SRC Deputy. Meetings are chaired by the students and Year level Coordinators and involve formal agendas, and items for action prioritised by the students with support from Parents Association and staff. The council concerns itself with a variety of matters related to College life including Service, curriculum matters, student wellbeing issues, College facilities and the organisation of a variety of social curricula activities.
Class Captains
All students have the opportunity to nominate for the role of Class Captain. Class Captains work closely with the Homegroup teachers, Year Level Coordinators and Heads of School, in the day-to-day running of homeroom.
House CaptainsHouse Captains are also appointed, two from each House at each Year Level. Their main focus is to facilitate house based activities across all key-learning areas where students gain points for their house through involvement and achievement.
In the co-curricula areas, there is a rich array of leadership roles that students can undertake including involvement in performing arts activities, camps and SACCSS sporting captaincies.
