Overview

The Information Services Centre supports teaching and learning at our College with Libraries at both Churchill Avenue sites. The Thomas Murray Information Service Centre (TISC) serves the Christ the King Campus (Years 7 – 9 girls) and the Bouchard Information Service Centre (BISC) serves both the Sacred Heart (Years 10 – 12) and St John’s (Years 7 – 9 boys) campuses. They action the College values of Faith, Acceptance, Compassion and Excellence through the equitable provision of print and digital resources and services for all students.

The College’s reading culture is driven by the junior reading classes within the English learning area and is celebrated annually with a whole school literature festival. Library staff support the development of Information literacy and research skills in collaboration with classroom teachers. Students are encouraged to develop independent learning skills and to collaborate with others in the various spaces provided by the Information Services Centres.
