Year 8 student, Jude Dadis, was featured in Star Weekly for his In2science Award nomination. On Tuesday, 27 November Jude and his family attended an awards presentation at Melbourne Museum where he got to meet former premier John Brumby.
In2science is a mentoring program run by RMIT, University of Melbourne, Swinburne and Monash for university students undertaking a STEM course.
Vinh from RMIT spent 10 weeks at Caroline Chisholm Catholic College working with our students. At the end of his placement Vinh and the Science teacher nominated Jude as an ‘outstanding student mentee’ for his engagement, effort and outcomes.
The program has been a major success for the universities and for the students who benefit from having a mentor in class, in addition to their Science teacher.
