Catholic schools to benefit from $178,000 in arts education projects.

Students at five Victorian schools will embark on innovative and ambitious arts projects in 2015 with some of the state’s most renowned arts organisations.

Minister for the Arts Heidi Victoria today announced the latest round of projects funded through Arts Victoria’s Extended School Residencies program, which pairs schools and professional arts organisations. Three of the five schools to be awarded $35,000 each are Melbourne Catholic schools.

  • Caroline Chisholm Catholic College Braybrook to partner Australian Centre for the Moving Image ACMI
  • Annunciation Primary school Brooklyn to partner Polyglot Theatre Company
  • St Anthony’s primary School Melton South to partner Arena Theatre Company

The projects will see students exploring a range of art forms from animation, sound design and film-making, to puppetry, dance and music, with each one culminating in a public performance or event.
