Camps & Outdoor Education

Our Outdoor Education program promotes student’s personal development while encouraging teamwork and positive attitudes towards the environment. All students in Years 7 – 9 participate in camps and safely build on their skills year by year under the supervision of our qualified and experienced outdoor education staff. Our 3-day camp experiences are unique to each year level to give them a wide range of experiences.

Activities undertaken are non-competitive and include camping, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, cooking, rock climbing and surfing, to name a few.

Most of these activities are held at our outdoor education facility, Garema Dumont. This 56-acre site is located on the Moorabool River near Meredith and is owned and operated by our College.

Our VCE Outdoor and Environmental Studies also makes regular use of the Garema Dumont site to gain the practical experience the subject requires.

Retreats & Reflection Days

The College’s faith education is supported by our retreat and reflection program. All students participate in a series of bi-annual reflection days during their time at the College.

These days provide students with the opportunity to deepen their spirituality and their relationship with God. It aims to give students a deep respect for the value of personal story and a search for religious meaning within the context of their lives and the life of our faith community.
