Melissa D'Amico

Deputy Principal - Students
Melissa D’Amico brings a wealth of experience in education and leadership, having worked across several secondary schools in Victoria over the past 27 years. She has held a range of leadership roles including STEM Curriculum Leader at St Columba’s College, and most recently Deputy Head of Secondary (Middle School Years 7–9) and Assistant Principal (Learning and Innovation P–12) at Aitken College.

Melissa is passionate about education as a space that builds possibility. Through Science and STEM, she values developing students’ collaboration, creativity and problem-solving skills, while also fostering resilience and curiosity through authentic, real-world learning experiences. She equally values the pastoral side of education, building strong relationships with students and supporting their growth into compassionate and confident individuals.

In the role of Deputy Principal - Students, Melissa is most looking forward to getting to know students and staff across the campuses, welcoming the new Year 7 cohort, and supporting Year 12 students as they prepare for life beyond school. Her hopes for Caroline Chisholm Catholic College are to model a culture where every student is known, belongs and is valued, and to collaborate across the College to provide meaningful opportunities for students to reflect on their learning, character and purpose.
